A "Climate and Resilience” bill is examining in France. Over 100,000 people took to the streets in over 180 demonstrations all over the country, demanding from Emmanuel Macron and the French parliament an ambitious climate law respecting the Paris Agreement and capable of meeting the challenges at hand.

As it stands, the text is totally inconsistent with the recommendations made by the Citizens’ Convention for Climate and not aligned with the new European greenhouse gas emissions reduction objective (-55% by 2030). When called to vote on whether the current executive decisions could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% by 2030, compared to 1990, members of the Citizen’s Climate Convention (CCC) awarded, this Sunday, the final score of 2.5 / 10 to the French government.

Près de 680 organisations, associations et syndicats ont appelé à manifester, dimanche 28 mars, pour une "vraie loi Climat". A la veille de l'examen du projet de loi Climat et Résilience, à l'Assemblée, texte issu notamment du travail des 150 membres de la Convention citoyenne, plus de 110 000 personnes se sont mobilisées partout en France, dont 55 000 à Paris et 10 000 à Lyon.
