On the Zugspitze, 20 Greenpeace activists continue their protest for more climate protection and a rapid phasing out of internal combustion engines by Volkswagen. They bring the about 1500 VW car keys borrowed on 26.05.2021 in Emden to the northern Schneeferner, a glacier threatened by global warming. Next to an oil-polluted VW logo measuring about 100 square meters, they criticize the corporation with the 300-square-meter banner "By no means: climate protection". The environmentalists had protested against the massive climate damage caused worldwide by Volkswagen's combustion engine cars at Volkswagens main export harbour in Emden, East Frisia, on May 26, 2021, and secured the keys of the vehicles for this purpose.

Auf der Zugspitze setzen 20 Greenpeace-Aktive ihren Protest für mehr Klimaschutz und einen schnellen Verbrenner-Ausstieg von Volkswagen fort. Sie bringen die am 26.05.2021 in Emden entliehenen, rund 1500 VW-Autoschlüssel auf den nördlichen Schneeferner, einen durch die Erderhitzung bedrohten Gletscher. Neben einem etwa 100 Quadratmeter großen, ölverschmutzten VW-Logo kritisieren sie den Konzern mit dem 300-Quadratmeter-Banner „Von Wegen: Klimaschutz“. Gegen die massiven Klimaschäden, die Volkswagens Verbrenner-Autos weltweit verursachen, hatten die Umweltschützer:innen am 26.05.2021 am Verladehafen im ostfriesischen Emden protestiert und dafür die Schlüssel der Fahrzeuge sichergestellt.
