Greenpeace turtle research in the Gulf. The team were monitoring the nesting and hatching success of Green and Hawksbill turtles on islands off Saudi Arabia. The project was a continuation of research started by the Saudis in 1985. One of the aims was to investigate the effects of oil spills on nesting habitats.
