Greenpeace activists blockade the Faslane Naval base, north-west of Glasgow in Scotland, to stop the UK's Trident missile submarine, HMS Vanguard, from going on its first active patrol. Obstacles such as cables and fishing nets were placed in the Vanguard's path.
