Greenpeace activists in Amman, Jordan, display huge banners near one of Amman's largest solar power plants with messages echoing the public's endorsement and support for renewable energy over other risky sources like nuclear energy.
The activity’s goals are to commemorate the end of a successful anti-nuclear petition that managed to gather more than 20,000 signatures and to demonstrate to the media and decision makers involved the wide public support Greenpeace gained as well as its movement’s ability to empower people to demand clean energy in favour of nuclear.
