ABERTHAW FISHER sailing from Scrabster in Scotland to Workington, north-west England with its cargo of 500 litres of plutonium. The cargo was transported from the Dounreay nuclear plant to Sellafield and passed through many areas hazardous to shipping, such as the Minches on the west coast of Scotland, on its journey.
