TckTckTck partners, Greenpeace and 350.org, stage a haunting underwater tableau to highlight the need for urgent action to tackle climate change as the United Nations Climate Conference COP16 in Cancun enters its second week. Young people dressed in everyday wear, dive amongst the 400 life-size statues which compose the underwater art installation “The Silent Evolution”, one of the unique works made by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. The installation is located in one of the world's largest underwater museum, in the protected National Marine Park of the Yucatan Peninsula. The action is to highlight sea level rise as one of the threats of climate change, to bring the message that real people can't live under water and that climate change requires the building blocks to a global climate deal in Cancun.
