Greenpeace activists block one of the main transit highways in both direction at the Tauern-Tunnel in Salzburg. They protest against the rapid increase of CO2-emissions caused by the growing truck transit through Austria. They demand a nationwide gneral increas of tolls to significantly reduce the amount of trucks transiting Austria. The banner reads: „Stop EU-Transit. Mauten erhöhen! Kontrollen verschärfen!“ translated into english: „Stop EU-transit. Increase tolls! Intensify controls!“.
