The opposition to proposed Jaitapur Nuclear power plant has received support of Shiv Sena, the main opposition party in Maharashtra. They organised a rally at Jaitapur to express solidarity with the people who would be affected by the proposed nuclear plant. The large turn out at the rally holds testimony to the fact that locals do not want AREVA to install its untested EPR reactors on their land.
