Underneath the "Goldenes Dachl" (one of the biggest sights of Innsbruck) activists protest against the alpine transit on the Brenner highway via Tyrol. Austria has signed a transit treaty with the EU in the context of their joining the EU. The treaty defines how much traffic/transit is allowed in the next 10 years until 2004. But people want to know what will happen after 2004. Activists hold up a banner asking: "2004 - und was dann? Stop Transit" translated to English: "2004 - and then? Stop Transit". Media interest is big as this is a huge issue in Tyrol.
