Swiss Greenpeace demonstrators chained themselves to trees at the resort of Crans Montana in Canton Valais, venue for the 1987 World Ski Championships, to protest against the felling of 50.000 square metres of forest to provide facililities for the event.
It is the first original Swiss action of Greenpeace.
