On February 25th, at a public hearing, the city of Beloyarsky will decide the fate of one of the Siberia’s jewels, the Natural Park "Numto", located near the homonymous lake. "Surgutneftegas”, the Russian oil and gas company which already owns large oil reserves in the natural park, wants to get access to one of its most valuable areas, the wetlands, where industrial development is currently prohibited.
