Greenpeace activists and activists from a citizen initiative “We are the limits“ protest in front of the Swedish embassy in Prague, Czech Republic, to oppose the selling of lignite coal mines and associated power plants in Lusatia, Germany, to a Czech company EPH. EPH has reached an agreement with Swedish state-owned company Vattenfall, although the transaction has not yet been approved by Swedish government. Activists believe that the Swedish government will stop the sale eventually. Similar protests took place or are taking place in at least 13 European countries.
