Greenpeace activists protest in front of the Annual General Meeting of the Allianz insurance in Munich. Their demand to the shareholders: "No more Dams in the Amazon".
Together with other NGOs the activists informed the shareholders about a possible involvement in a new Mega dam project in the heart of the Amazon rainforests. The planned dam in the Tapajós river basin will heavily impact the life of Munduruku indigenous people, the intact forests and stunning biodiversity in the region. In a speech in front of the shareholders, Greenpeace asked the Allianz to implement strong forest protection criteria for their international business.
