Shoot: Eco-Village in Hungary Launches Self-Sufficient System in Public Catering

GP0STTEYW
An eco-settlement in Hungary’s Veszprém county, west of Budapest, has introduced a self-sufficient system, providing locally grown organic food in public catering. Residents of the village of Nyárád grow their own, organic produce to supply them to the school canteen. Additional eco-friendly initiatives include the use of sheep in landscaping, while public buildings are equipped with solar panels. The video was made as part of Greenpeace Hungary’s project to promote eco-canteens in schools and retirement homes.
