The most famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov with a Greenpeace poster "For the Freedom of Orcas and Beluga Whales".
11 orcas and 90 belugas, including 15 belugas calves (younger than 1 year) were caught in 2018 in the Okhotsk Sea near the east coast of Russia to be sold to China theme parks. They were imprisoned in so called “whale jail” near Nahodka city, about 7,000 km east of Moscow. One orca and 3 belugas died during winter. Greenpeace demands the release of all orcas and belugas and to ban the capturing of wild whales.
