65 Greenpeace activists claim a sanction of a Forest Crime Act in one of the most emblematic monuments in Buenos Aires, making an artistic statement that brought the forest to the city and exposed the situation facing the native forest in the country. Argentinean forest are in an emergency. According to a recent report by the United Nations, Argentina is among the 10 countries that destroyed most forest over the past 25 years.
The scenario represented the 600 thousands of hectares that were destroyed between 2008 and the end of 2014. Those same hectares that were protected by law, but still destroyed to be used for farm production and real estate projects.
