GP0STPU8E
Greenpeace activists engage in a non-violent direct action at the Kori Nuclear Power Complex. After arriving at the site by an inflatable boat, the activists peacefully hold a banner reading “No More New Nukes” in the Gyeongsang dialects.

The Kori Nuclear Power Complex is not only an undeniable threat. Within 30 kilometers of the power plant’s radius, not only 3.4 million people live but also there are the important tourist, and industrial areas. The Kori Nuclear Power Complex is the world’s largest nuclear power complex. In addition, the Korean government plan to build two more reactors.

Five Greenpeace Activists, Jun Ho LEE, Younghun KIM, Reiyong KIM, Myungjin CHOI and Jeongmin LEE are indicted by the Ulsan District Prosecutor's Office on 26th April 2016. The charges are illegal assembly and trespassing at the Kori Nuclear Power Complex. The recent survey by Greenpeace East Asia Seoul shows that more than half of the Busan population are against the government’s plan for the additional nuclear reactors at the Kori Nuclear Power Complex.
