On September 7th, 8th and 9th, São Luís (Maranhão state) held the Northeast Edition of the Banana-Terra Project (from Portuguese: "cooking banana", or "plantain"), a partnership between Greenpeace and Amnisty International. Its objective is to connect young environmental and human rights activists from the North, Northeast and Central-West regions of Brazil. The goal is to fuel solutions and promote the exchange of information in an active way, so the young activists can reshape reality where they live.

Nos dias 7, 8 e 9 de setembro de 2018, aconteceram, em São Luis (MA), as oficinas da fase Nordeste do projeto Banana-Terra. A iniciativa é uma parceria entre o Greenpeace e a Anistia Internacional e tem como objetivo conectar jovens ativistas das regiões Norte, Nordeste e Centro-Oeste do Brasil que atuam nas áreas de meio ambiente e direitos humanos. A ideia é gerar soluções, trocas, informações e muita ação para que, por meio dessas conexões, eles possam transformar a realidade onde vivem.
