A group of Greenpeace activists enter the perimeter of the Cruas-Meysse Nuclear Power Plant in Ardeche, France, to expose the vulnerability of the spent fuel storage pool. Some of the activists have climbed on the installations near the reactor 4 while others have left marks with their hand prints on the wall of the building. Orange smoke flares were lit and banners displayed. The action is to highlight the accessibility of the facility and to denounce the inaction of EDF on the issue of nuclear security risks.

Ce matin, à 6h20 une vingtaine de militant-e-s de Greenpeace France se sont introduit-e-s dans la centrale nucléaire de Cruas-Meysse, en Ardèche, pour alerter sur l’extrême vulnérabilité des piscines d’entreposage de combustible usé. Certains ont escaladé un de ces bâtiments, accolé au réacteur 4, d’autres ont laissé des empreintes de mains sur le bâtiment lui-même pour démontrer son accessibilité.
