Greenpeace activists protest against the arrival of a coal ship in Hamburg, demanding that G20 leaders meeting in the German port city next week swiftly end the use of coal and ramp up global climate action.
The activists wrote ‘end coal’ in 2-metre letters on the ship Golden Opportunity, which is delivering 75,000 tonnes of coal from Russia to Hamburg, one of Europe’s largest coal ports.
Kayakers and swimmers accompanied the ship with banners demanding the G20 to ‘#EndCoal’.
