Greenpeace activists protest in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) International Technical Conference on Agricultural Biotechnologies in Developing Countries will take place in few days. The conference is sponsored by, among
others, international biotechnology corporations who promote the production of transgenic seeds. Greenpeace believes that GMOs (genetically modified organisms) should not be released into the environment since there is not an adequate scientific understanding of their impact on the environment and human health.
