Greenpeace activists occupy a gas extraction platform of the 'Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij' (NAM) or 'Dutch Oil Company', near the Dutch island Ameland in the Wadden Sea. Activists placed a solar panel on top of the drilling platform. This is a protest against the planned 'test' gas extractions in the Wadden Sea. Greenpeace aims for a governmental agreement on prohibiting extractions from the Wadden Sea. NAM is taking legal procedures against the occupation.
The banner reads: Handen af van het Waddengas (Hands off the Wadden Sea gas)
