Greenpeace was honored to be receiving one of the prizes for its global campaign to protect the climate at the Save the World Awards ceremony. Thomas Henningsen, coordinator of Greenpeace’s international climate work, collected the award in person.
The event took place at the Zwentendorf nuclear power station, which was built in the 1970s but never used. A recent project is turning the unused power station into the largest solar power station in Austria.
During the ceremony Greenpeace activists hung a banner which read "Energy [R]evolution, Climate Solution".
