Truck drivers are blocking the customs at Chiasso to protest against the safety measures at the Gotthard Tunnel. The excessive transportation of goods in Europe seems to gave gotten out of control. Greenpeace is calling for "Für Güter die Bahn", translated: "For goods, the rail" (in German also a word joke) on-site and handed the blockading drivers leaflets, coffee and croissants. Neither for the health of the people, the environment or for the safety in the Gotthard Tunnel, is the desire of the Italian truck lobby "Free traffic in the Alps" a solution.
