Shoot: Toxics Bonfol Waste Barrel Returned to Sender at Roche in Switzerland
GP01U29
Twelve activists handed over “Barrel nr 8” with polluted water from the toxic landfill in Jura. With a banner that highlights the need for the immediate clean up of the hazardous landfill, Greenpeace protests against the chemical industry of Basel (the companies Novartis, Roche, Clariant and Ciba). The “Barrel number 8” was returned to the director of Roche, Mr. Gerber, in front of his home. The health of the population in Bonfol situated directly next to the landfill, is threatened by the leaking of polluted water, and there is no reason why chemistry managers can live quiet and undisturbed while they, with their toxic waste, influence the quality of life of thousands of people.
