Greenpeace activists, Natuur & Milieu and Wise deliver 200 yellow nuclear waste barrels at the entrance of the Parliament in The Hague. This is the amount of nuclear waste Borssele produces every ten years. Highly radioactive waste that remains dangerous for 240,000 years and for which there is still no solution. In addition nuclear power plants are an easy target for terroristic attacks and can never be protected for one hundred percent. The environmental organisations want that the government closes the nuclear power plant Borssele in 2013 and invests more in energy saving and sustainable energy from sun, wind and biomass. Today the Parliament debates about the closing of Borssele.
