Greenpeace offers a Minister of Environment at the Palace Huis ten Bosch in The Hague. The new government has been installed there, but there was no Minister of Environment present. Greenpeace is dissatisfied with the fact that the Minister of Environment has been replaced by a State Secretary. This means that the Environment will not be represented in the Council of Ministers and the influence of the State Secretary is also less influential abroad. The coalition agreement of the new government leaves a lot to be desired. Measures for sustainable energy taken in the past years, like the ecotax, the closing of the nuclear power plant Borssele and incentives policy for green energy, are being reversed one by one.
