Seventy Greenteam members in the age of 10 till 16, offer Dutch minister of environment Van Geel thousands of paper paradise birds connected on a 150 meter rope. These birds were folded by the children out of concern for the world's ancient forests. The birds symbolize all the animals living in ancient forests, threatened by deforestation. They also brought homemade banners and two big paper paradise birds along. A children's-choir sings the ancient forest-song: 'Ho! Stop! Kappen met kappen! which means 'Ho! Stop Logging!'
The children ask Dutch minister Van Geel to do his utmost at the international biodiversity-top-meeting in Brazil, where the protection of biodiversity will be discussed. The children's opinion is that the politicians talk to much but undertake too little action.
