Shoot: Forest Action at Kimberly-Clark in California
GP01K9G
Greenpeace activists stage a lockdown at the entrance to the Kimberly-Clark processing facility in an effort to convince the company to utilize more recycled materials in its products. The action is part of an international campaign to force Kimberly-Clark to stop purchasing pulp from destructive logging operations in Canada’s Boreal Forest for its disposable products such as Kleenex and Cottonelle. The activists chained themselves to toilets and carried thousands of petitions. They blocked the entrance before being arrested for trespassing by local police.
