Shoot: 'End the Age of Coal' Day of Action in Germany

GP0STO3M0
Volunteers of the Greenpeace group in Leipzig protest against coal power and ask people to sign a petition against further lignite exploitation in state of Brandenburg. The company Vattenfall plans to exploit 204 Million tons of brown coal until 2050. The activity is part of a global day of action, with more than 70 events in 12 countries demonstrating the strength of a global movement that is working to ‘end the age of coal’. Greenpeace, 350.org, Avaaz.org, and other global partners support the growth of grassroots activism that is essential in winning the coal fight. All over the world, communities, business groups and civil society are standing up and taking bold steps to pressure their governments to switch from coal to clean, sustainable, renewable energy.
