Shoot: Airship Flies over Jaenschwalde Coal Plant

GP0STO1TR
The Greenpeace airship A.E. Bates flies over the brown coal power plant Jaenschwalde in Brandenburg, Germany. The Social Democratic Party (SPD) together with the Minister President of Brandenburg, Matthias Platzeck, supports the plans of Vattenfall (a Swedish Electric utility company) to open five new brown coal open mines. Welzow-South I Vattenfall wants to mine 204 million tons of lignite. This would release approximately 200 million tons of CO2 . The banner on one side of the airship reads: "Coal-SPD harms people and nature." The second banner reads: "Destruction Made by Sweden!".
