A man wears a t-shirt protesting against Herakles Farms plans to create a large palm oil plantation in Southwest Region, Cameroon. The shirt reads "No Plantation on Our Land, Herakles Farms (SGSOC) Out!" Police later prevented the peaceful demonstration against the project from being held in the town of Mundemba. Several activists were arrested and detained for 2 days without charge. The project could cover an area about ten times the size of Manhattan. The company is SGSOC (SG Sustainable Oils Cameroon, a subsidiary of Herakles Farms).
