Adidas, the official sponsor of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, has introduced jerseys, gloves, shoes and other products that contain a variety of toxic and hazardous substances. According to a Greenpeace study the contaminants perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) and solvents like dimethylformamid (DMF) have been detected in the merchandise.
