'Heart for Sea' Solidarity Activity in Teluk Patani (Web Video - English)
Greenpeace's most iconic ship the Rainbow Warrior arrived today in Teluk Patani to stand in solidarity with communities expressing their concerns about the coal-fired project in Thepha district. Around one hundred fishing boats belonging to communities from Sakom, Thepha, and Suan Kong in Songkhla province participated in this demonstration. A 30 x 30 meter banner was carried on the water from the coast of Koh Kham, picturing characters from the Nang Talung, a well-known shadow puppet show, to symbolize people's opposition to the proposed 2,200 megawatt coal-fired plant in Thepha.
