On the 14th May, as foreign ministers and delegates from the Arctic states arrive in Kiruna they are greeted by Greenpeace members bearing the message to stop oil exploration in the Arctic. First along the road towards the city with banners and advertising boards, and then at the hotel where they are staying they are reminded again with stickers, paintings, signs and magazine articles. On the day of the meeting, the 15th May, the activists and Sami people demonstrate in front of the meeting venue, the city hall, and later in the day hand over the 'I Love Arctic' photo-books to two Permanent Participants of Arctic Indigenous Peoples in the Arctic Council.Related Collections:Arctic Council and Peoples Arctic Meetings 2013 Sweden (All Photographers)
