The agreement was made at the end of 2015 after tough negotiations by nearly 200 countries, including the USA. It is a historic milestone for climate protection. According to a Chicago Council survey of November 2016, a majority (71 percent) of the Americans argued that the US would remain in the agreement. Many companies like Google, Microsoft or Walmart, as well as US states and cities, are demanding this. “If Trump comes out of the Paris deal, he damages not only planet Earth, but also his own country.
