65 Hours for 65% Protest in Slovakia
Excuses won’t solve the climate crisis - says the banner, held by activists, key influencers and organizations during a 65 hour long protest happening in Bratislava, Slovakia. Greenpeace is protesting in front of the entry to Government office, where the Prime Minister spends most of his time.
Activists and key influencers pass the banner in an hourly rotation during the three-day event. 65 is a symbolic number, as we need to reduce our emissions at least by 65% until 2030 to avoid a climate and ecological collapse. Greenpeace urges Prime Minister Matovič to vote in favour of this percentage, during this week’s meeting of the European Council in Brussels.
