The town is situated less than 3 kilometers from Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Before the Chernobyl disaster the town had around 48,000 inhabitants. After the accident people were forced to leave their home with a promise they would be back in 5 days. They never could go back. Radioactive contamination here is still very high, and one needs a special permit to enter this area.In original language:Aufgegeben Klavier in PripyatKlavier Ð Ein Klavier mit dem Markennamen "Ukraine", zurueckgelassen in einer verlassenen Wohnung in Pripyat.
