NAM wants to extract gas from the Wadden Sea with a 1992 permit. Greenpeace occupied the drill site to stop the platform ENSCO 72 being put in location (between the Dutch islands Ameland and Schiermonnikoog) and then occupying the rig itself for banner hanging.
