After a couple of weeks, the company Vastskog started to log, and several teams of Greenpeace activists tried to stop the logging a number of times. The area was once owned by the Swedish state church and their decision to sell it created a lot of attention, since it was considered as a forest worth protecting. During the action, Naturhistoriska Museet i Goteborg made a joint statement with Greenpeace and Svenska Naturskyddsforeningen to protect the forest.
