Action at Mattel HQ in California
Greenpeace activists dressed as "Ken" dolls climb and hang a huge banner off the Mattel headquarters in El Segundo, California. The banner shows an angry Ken with a clear message to his former girlfriend: "Barbie It's Over. I Do Not Date Girls That Are Into Deforestation." Greenpeace investigators have found that the toymaker Mattel is using packaging made from Asia Pulp and Paper (APP). APP has been exposed many times for wrecking Indonesia's rainforests to make products such as packaging.
