Activists have peacefully accessed the site of the Meirama thermal power plant in A Coruña, (operated by Naturgy) to demand closure for its climate and health impact. The activists carry banners with the messages "Turn off the coal" and "No to coal".
One group of activists has occupied the coal unloading area, while another has climbed up to the cooling tower with the intention of making a large drawing to ask for the end of coal and the need to make way for a 100% renewable system. 

A primera hora de la mañana, activistas de Greenpeace han accedido de forma pacífica al recinto de la central térmica de Meirama en A Coruña, (operada por Naturgy) para exigir el cierre por su impacto climático y en la salud. Los activistas portan pancartas con los mensajes “Apaga el carbón” y “No al carbón”.
Un grupo de activistas ha ocupado la zona de descarga de carbón, mientras que otro ha subido hasta la torre de refrigeración con la intención de realizar un gran dibujo para pedir el fin del carbón y la necesidad de dar paso a un sistema 100% renovable.
