Shortly before the expected result of the coal commission, around 60 Greenpeace activists are demonstrating since daybreak at the lignite power plant Niederaussem near Koeln for determined climate protection. On a meadow they put a 50-meter-long symbol of a thermometer with the temperature gauge 1,5 degrees, whose mercury column is illuminated by flames. "Stop coal, protect the climate," the environmentalists are demanding on a banner. 

Kurz vor dem erwarteten Ergebnis der Kohlekommission demonstrieren rund 60 Greenpeace-Aktivisten heute vor Tagesanbruch am Braunkohlekraftwerk Niederaußem bei Koeln für entschlossenen Klimaschutz. Auf einer Wiese haben sie ein 50 Meter langes Symbol eines Thermometers mit der Temperaturanzeige 1,5 Grad gelegt, dessen Quecksilbersaeule durch Flammen erleuchtet wird. „Kohle stoppen, Klima schuetzen“, fordern die Umweltschuetzer auf einem Banner.
