The pod has been de rigged and lowered down off the anchor chain. Chevron is using a legal hammer to end the Greenpeace protest. Chevron claims it is seeking the court order because it needs to move the ship away from the coast in rough seas for safety reasons - in other words, the company claims its ship can't hold its position. Greenpeace say drill ships such as the Stena Carron are designed to hold their position to one metre in the roughest seas while drilling. If they cannot, they risk a disastrous oil spill.Locations:Scotland-Shetland Islands-United KingdomDate:25 Sep, 2010Credit:© Will Rose / GreenpeaceMaximum size:8424px X 5616pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Chevron Corporation-Climate (campaign title)-Climbing actions-Climbing equipment-Day-Drillships-Greenpeace activists-Hard hats-Inflatables (boats)-KWCI (GPI)-Occupation actions-Oceans (campaign title)-Offshore drilling-Oil (fossil fuel)-Oil (Industry)-Oil drilling-OSPAR-Outdoors-Ships-Three peopleShoot:Esperanza Go Beyond Oil ExpeditionGreenpeace 'Go Beyond Oil' ship tour, exposes and confronts the oil industry's race to develop deep sea drilling for oil in order to avoid environmental disasters like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
