Action to Protect the Great Barrier Reef in Brisbane
Greenpeace volunteers holding up signs that read "don't let this", "become this" with images of healthy and bleached coral reef.
The photo was taken at a Greenpeace event in Brisbane, Australia in March 2022, which was planned to coincide with a UN delegation arriving in the country to monitor the health of the Great Barrier Reef.
The reef is currently experiencing 'severe and widespread' bleaching as a result of climate change.
Greenpeace is calling on Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison and Environment Minister, Sussan Ley to reduce emissions from coal, oil and gas before it's too late.
