Action with Signs to Demand a Temporary Speed Limit on German Motorways
Greenpeace activists set a sign for a temporary speed limit on German motorways on the A9 south of Potsdam. At the beginning of the track without a speed limit, they fix 3 speed signs above the three lanes, the speed 100-signs are designed with colours of the Ukrainian flag. Another speed sign is placed next to the hard shoulder. With a speed limit of 100 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on rural roads, Germany would have paid around 170 million euros less in energy payments to the aggressor Russia in 43 days after the start of war in Ukraine, according to Greenpeace calculations.
