Activist at COP 17 in Durban
Cherry the clown juggles the world on the Durban beach front, a few hours after the official start of COP 17 in the city. Greenpeace decries the lack of leadership for Africa that President Zuma displayed in his opening remarks at the UN Climate Talks in Durban this morning. Durban must not be the burial ground for the Kyoto Protocol and Zuma must not be the pall bearer. The President had an opportunity to speak to the urgency of the situation, with the world's attention focused on South Africa.

COP17 UN Climate Conference in Durban
Greenpeace is calling for the COP17 in Durban to be a new dawn for the international climate negotiations and remind governments that the urgency and seriousness of the climate crisis calls for a fair, ambitious and legally binding treaty to be agreed as soon as humanly possible.
