He travels New Zealand working as a contract climber, getting around in his own bus. As well as being an arborist, he likes to climb trees for fun. He also loves free diving, spear fishing and sports like rugby league, tag rugby and basketball. Kawhai, Johno's Staffordshire terrier, also helps to keep him fit when they run together. Johno is a proud supporter of the Warriors and the Kiwis in rugby.
