The blockade is accomplished by stretching a rope above the water between two wind turbines on either side of the harbour and attaching three Greenpeace activists to the middle of the rope. The activists are hanging ten metres above the water, holding a banner with the message: "Coal: Gone with the Wind". The sunset has come and the activists will stay at the rope until the morning. Locations:Eemshaven-Europe-Groningen-NetherlandsDate:7 Sep, 2016Credit:© Bas Beentjes / GreenpeaceMaximum size:2880px X 1920pxKeywords:Access blockade actions-Actions and protests-Banners-Climate (campaign title)-Coal-Coal-fired power stations-Essent-Evening-Greenpeace activists-Greenpeace executive directors-KWCI (GPI)-Outdoors-Rheinisch-Westfalische Elektrizitetswerke AG (RWE)-Silhouettes-Sunsets-Three people-Wind energy-Wind turbinesShoot:Activists Block Entrance to RWE Coal Plant in EemshavenIn Eemshaven, Greenpeace activists block the coal ship ‘Paquis’ which plans to unload coal from Russia for the largest coal-fired power plant in the Netherlands.
